Neighborhoods in

Denver

LoDo

LoDo is a collection of historic buildings and modern lofts where you’ll find great boutiques, bars and restaurants on the street level and offices and living spaces above. This neighborhood offers some unique attractions like Upstairs Circus – a project based, craft workshop and bar. The Downtown Aquarium is also just walking distance from our LoDo Stay Alfred travel apartments. Looking for nightlife in LoDo? That’s close, too! It can be unique and whimsical, from Mario's Double Daughter's Salotto with its funky decor, DJs and pizza to a spooky tour of the Colorado underground district sites at Nightly Spirits. If you’re looking for a place to wander and socialize well into the wee hours, you’ll find it here. And the daytime? Thanks to the district’s height restrictions on buildings, you will enjoy a better view and more sunshine in LoDo than you’d find in a typical downtown setting.

Ballpark Neighborhood

Anchored by Coors Field, home of the Rockies, this top-notch neighborhood is home to more than just sporting events. Walk Larimer Street between 20th and 38th, and you’ll encounter a lively collection of restaurants, pubs, galleries, antique shops and music clubs. Head southwest a few blocks, and you’ll find yourself in LoDo in no time. The Ballpark neighborhood may be famous for its nightlife, but it’s just as good during the day. Have a beer and tour the city on one of the Pedal Hopper Denver tours or do without the brew and tour the city on two wheels with the Mile High Bike Tours. Though this neighborhood is home to the local ballpark and boasts the National Ballpark Museum, there is plenty to do here, even if you’re not a sports buff.

River North

Welcome to the Brooklyn of the Rocky Mountain West, or, as the locals call it, RiNo. Nestled against the South Platte River, Denver’s River North Arts District is the epitome of Colorado cool. What once was a somewhat desolate district of warehouses and industrial buildings has now been totally transformed into a hipster haven featuring trendy food halls, street art, local breweries, and buzzy coffee shops. Just a few blocks from the Union Station transportation hub and Coors Field, RiNo is perfectly located for any trip to the 303. Just be sure to bring an empty stomach and a camera!

Lower Highlands

Voted one of the best hipster neighborhoods in the United States, Denver’s LoHi (Lower Highlands) is known for funky rooftop bars with renowned skyline views, quieter streets, neighborhood galleries, cool coffee shops and some of the city's best eateries. LoHi lies just adjacent to Denver’s downtown, with Highland Pedestrian Bridge making it a short walk to downtown dining, dancing, and Mile High fun. Along with great access to this super hip hood, Stay Alfred at Centric LoHi puts you mere minutes from Union Station, The University of Colorado Denver, 16th Street Mall and Pepsi Center, for short commutes to big city adventures.

Five Points

One of Denver's most diverse and vibrant neighborhoods, Five Points is the center of uber-cool in the city, with eclectic dining, innovative craft breweries and cutting-edge art galleries. The area was once known as the "Harlem of the West" because it attracted jazz greats like Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday, and today it still boasts the city's hippest live music and hosts the annual Five Points Jazz Festival. If you want to visit downtown attractions like the Aquarium or Museum of Contemporary Art, you're only 15 minutes away on the light rail.
